Mystery of the Non-existent Pan Dulce (I NEED HELP!)

So, I've been grinding away at farming and recipe-making in Paleo Pines as of late. I want to make some 3-star Pan Dulce out of my watermelons so I can make 4x the money from normal watermelons. The issue here is that I can't FIND the Pan Dulce recipe, nor experiment to find it.. MAINLY because the buns tab in my recipe book is not there. It's nonexistent, and I'm having a crisis. I remember talking to Zara near the beginning of her story line and her asking us, the player, what our favorite food was. I chose cake, but I remember there being a buns option (Mainly cause I couldn't pick between the two... lol). Am I just unable to make buns now due to this choice? Or, is there some other way for me to unlock the buns tab? Is there a story quest or certain point where I unlock the buns tab? Please help, I gotta get these watermelons preserved before their quality drops!

So far as I could work out, the food tabs for experimentation in the cooking pot get unlocked once you have already acquired a recipe of that type. You will never be locked out of an entire food type just for a dialog choice thankfully. I got the option from just continuing npc questlines as they do enjoy gifting you food as a reward, but if you're trying to streamline the process you could try buying a bun from the food merchant in Archeo Pelago, but please note I haven't tried this to see if it works.

I got the recipe for cinnamon buns via a quest given to me by Freya, so I'm able to make bun recipes now. Thanks for the help!
