Ankylosaur location (spoilers wanted)
I know roughly where it is supposed to be but I swear I've scoured every inch of the area.
Can someone tell me if it is near either the postosuchus or the cory...saurus? Otherwise I need more detail than I currently possess on its location please. Go east from Owyn's house towards the windmill hill and then more southeast. ankys walk on four legs and have a tail that looks a bit like a morning star weapon. is the info I have... (I have found them before, but... just can't this time round. Also in demo not full game if that affects anything.)

My advice for how to find them is:

Once you enter the valley, head toward Owynn's house but just before you get to his house, take a right past the windmill hill into the wide field. To your left is Corythosaurus, and to your right is Postosuchus. Turn right and head past the Postosuchus, you need a rock breaker to break the boulders next to the Postosuchus. See the patch of thick bushes to the left of Postosuchus past the trees? Two Ankylosaurus hang out in those bushes. It can actually be quite hard to see them, the bushes are big and they like to hide inside or behind them, so it might be easy to miss that they're there if you only took a passing glance and they were out of sight.

Hey there,

Anky's can be found by exiting your farm and taking an immediate right - hug the wall and you'll see a stone to break with a brownish biome behind it, as you go through there, the Anky's are just on the left side. (take's literal seconds to get there from home)

If you need clearer instructions or can't find them for some reason, just let me know and i'll post some pics or i can add you on discord.

You can find anky in the forest, there is a hill behind Marlo's that is blocked off my rock. However once you open this spot they stop spawning there after the first night. The one permanent location has two way to get to it. You can either take the long way through the desert, short path but layers on rocks to break through. Or you can run towards Owen's, turn right at cooking pot and follow the river down you'll come up on a postsuchus. Behind it is a rock. Break that single rock to open up the ankylosaurus

As for the Corys, go to Owen's, pass the rock wall, stay to the left, you should eventually hit them and a different section to open up to Pachycephalosaurus

Anky is also only in Dapplewood during certain seasons (Triassea I believe)

Thank you all; looks like I won't be doing that quest for now. (Only in demo until a sale. I'm a regional...)

PS Apologies for delay in responding, I didn't get a notification last time I was online in Steam.
Also, marked peajay64 as answer since my previous info was closest to that - but it dates from before the game became available to buy, so it's obviously not accurate anymore. (No rocks then.)

Yeah, in the demo, Wuerhosaurus and Ankylosaurus are more accessible (it’s how I got a Slasher and a Stomper early and accessed certain things before the game ‘expected’ me to). In the full game they moved both of them behind breakable objects with the intent for you to tame stuff in this order: Styracosaurus to break the rocks blocking Anky, and Anky to break the log blocking Wuerhosaurus. Hehe demo save with Anky and Wuerho already tamed go brrrr

I'm not sure if I kept my demo save with them (did manage to tame them both in one game), but there's enough reports of issues with demo saves I'd hesitate to use one unless they released patches/updates before a sale comes (which is possible  ).
Good luck with your save game though! :D
