Yeah, I thought that description was odd / misleading too, they clearly didn't use a pattern/colour generator (which I'd have been down bad for if mixed with a breeding system.) xD

Am I missing something? Oonce you've documented a species, you really just get the info window from putting a dino to sleep and getting out the logbook.
Is that legit how you get it? 'Cause, if so, this game, in all its enjoyment, is making me question sanity yet again lol
The info window showing up when you hold your journal over them is enough for the game to consider that color ‘discovered’.
Yeah.... definitely stock up....
