DEVS - Why is Console almost 30% cheaper?
Why in my country (and a few others) do you have massively inconsistent pricing between steam and console?

Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox - $5.400,00
Steam - $6.613,20 (including 10% launch discount).

Why are you charging +20% more for PC version when it's no different?

And before any Americans come busting into the conversation like we have oil in our backyards - we don't want it for free. We want fair and balanced pricing. Steam provides Devs a tool to help with regional pricing and they can choose to use it or research and set their own.

The issue here is you have something like Remnant 2 (49.99usd) and Paleo Pines (29.99usd), a 66% difference and that's very balanced. Indie Vs Standard.

For my country, Remnant 2 (7.699,00ars) and Paleo Pines (7.348,00 without launch discount), less than 5% difference.

I'm not comparing the game Remnant 2 to Paleo Pines, merely the price difference, taking a major release vs an indie title release.

It would be like Paleo Pines launching at $47usd for you instead.

no worries- they'll still come to defend this game while using aruments which doesn't even make sense. they'll ALWAYS will. almost like it's a golden rule or something.

Right? I had chats with some that took while to understand that we aren't wanting free, we want fair. Some understood after the Remnant 2 comparison what I mean by fair though which good start.

No response, so I'm assuming the answer is: ♥♥♥♥ happens.

Also, I'm assuming USD has best pricing? Because the devs are British, so it doesn't make sense to call out Americans on it unless it's because they have best pricing and don't complain.

My solution: play it on console or don't play it at all. The Steam price is way too high so I'm playing it on Switch until something more reasonable is out. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Actually in another thread Dev has said they've contacted their publisher to see what can be done. It doesn't seem like they were aware of how badly the price was put up for other countries or the discrepancy for console etc. Maybe we'll see movement soon.

Yes they have. I can copy paste what they said in the other thread here :)

I don't think they're going to fix it. disappoint lack of support and communicate from them. :steamsad::steamthumbsdown:

How is that a lack of support and communication? They said they're contacting the publisher and asking it be fixed and will update the community when they have an answer.

Because they made that comment more than a week ago and since then the launch discount has passed, no further communicates regarding this issue or even responses to this issue. I'd say that is the define of lack of support and communicate regarding this enquiry. It doesnt take a week and a bit for a publisher to get back to a developer regarding the price of their game during a launch window. I spend a decade in this industry with bigger and smaller Dev/pub groups.

Agreed, but no one said their publisher is responsive, lol.

This game costs 2000 rubles in my country, which is around 21 USD. But the price of 2000 rubles or more is, usually, set for AAA games with big name and from big companies. I undestand its an indie game, but it doesn't justify how expensive it is in my region. Not going to buy until devs will lower it to reasonable numberr
Even JWE costs less, lol

True lol you would think if they made that comment they'd at least follow up though. They've avoided saying anything further, I don't think they care honestly.

At this stage it will on wishlist until it's discounted in a couple of years. It's player chart reporting shows it's on a decline in playership and popularity consistently so discount maybe Christmas (but then it'll probably still be more than console).. I don't want to buy on switch but maybe I'll just buy preowned.

I have other things to play anyway :)

Same here. I just checked and paleo Pines is same price as GTA V and right now Hogwarts Legacy and Jedi Survivor are both cheaper at the moment which is wild. I wish they would have at least commented but they honestly probably just don't mind the extra dollars where they can get them.
