Pippin won't go back to their shop

I'm guessing this all came about from maxing friendship, since I'm maxed out friendship with them and then got a series of quests starting with talking to Marlo for decorations, then bringing him 80 wood for it...

Then the next day I went into Pebble Plaza and a cutscene triggered. Then I got the next step which was to make them the pie and give it to them.
I did that, but Pippin still won't go back to their shop (I've been finding some poppins other than crunchy ones as quest rewards from the board, but they're rare and so far I've only gotten spicy poppins out of it).

It's been about an in game week since they did this, and there's zero mention of what to do next in the quest tracker. I've tried talking to Pippin, to Marlo...to every named/important NPC and they're still just chilling at Marlo's all the time.

This is obviously a problem (I'm out of Fragrant Poppins, and praying I don't come across a rare/ultra rare dino which might require one). Had I known they were going to refuse to sell anything, I would have stocked up on poppins before turning the quest in.

I'm all for friendship/relationship quests...but not to the point where they interfere with my ability to play the game. I literally cannot tame any new dinos which need fragrant poppins, and I'm really not happy about it.
It'd be nice if the devs can either have Pippin go back to the shop after getting the pie, or just make it much more apparent what players need to do in order to get things back to normal.

Has anyone done this quest series? What do I need to do to get Pippin back in their shop?

I'm so sorry this has happened! I'll push this odd occurrence forward and let you know if there is a way to continue the quest as soon as I'm able as I have not done this one myself yet <3

If you haven't already given Pippin the pie, make sure to do so!
If you have and it is still acting this way, it looks like this is a bug and to the best of my knowledge we don't have a fix for this yet...my apologies! I will be sure the team is made aware of this

I tried it out (waited another couple in game days) and it worked. Thank you!

I'm glad it's not a bug, at least (unless it's not supposed to take that long).
