Small dino helpers?

I feel silly for asking this, but how do you get your smaller dinos who can't be saddled (Coelophysis, Psittacosaurus, etc) to help you out on the farm? They're both listed as "discoverer" and "tender" but I can't find any info on how to get them to use those abilities, or what they do exactly.

The small dino helper skills aren't unlockable in the demo, unfortunately!

I... think discoverer is a skill that makes them "call for your attention" when they find something you can pick up. That is, if you tell them to follow you and you walk outside your farm, they'll react to any bush/herbs/fruits (maybe tablets?) on the ground as well as show you where it is. Or I might just be completely wrong and every dinosaur does this.

aha, that's what I thought. I took my Psittacosaurus out and they didn't seem to do anything, so I assumed it wasn't in the demo

One of the Developer lifestreams of future gameplay showed the small dinos picking seeds from a bowl placed near a field and planting them one by one.

I tried taking my Microaptor out to help me but he still did not do any happy helper things

Your microraptor likely isn't helper status yet! They need to be in order to be assigned tasks <3
