Urban Onslaught Mission 3
I cannot seem to get past this one and the closest I've gotten is about 1:57 from the finish but on the road/bridge, I always get overwhelmed. How do you beat this one?

I'm trying to remember which one that was, was that the one where you protect the fleeing civilians from bugs? Where you unlock the engineers who build turrets?

Ah alright, where is the part where you get stuck specifically?

The beginning, the police force joins up, the fleeing civilians, or clearing the final hives?

Sorry if my questions are annoying, just trying to be as precise as possible with my answers so I can help best.

The place where the wheels start to come off is after defending the roundabout. I start having issues when she says she's having mental trauma from pain, chaos and all that. I can defend the front no problem and rescue all the designated folks. It's just that I have issues during and immediately after the roundabout defense

Ahhh, alright.

I'm not there myself yet but if I find out how, I'll tell you how I manage to beat it. Good luck in the meantime!

So your problem is during the the last 5 minutes of the mission?

Well, hopefully I can help with what I can remember.

Since you already know whats coming its best to prepare beforehand. Riot Squads, Mortar Turrets, and Heavy Turrets are your best friends in this mission. Riots to hold chokes and distract, while Mortars rain from above, and Heavy Turrets set to Tanker priority. The walkers are also excellent once they are promoted and have the bombing drone. Having enough Mortars on each side 2-3, usually just two, is more then enough to keep them at bay as long as you pay attention to your Riot Squads and use their ability to make them invulnerable. Having some units that can take care of the air is recommended. Can even have some standard turrets if you feel its needed. Usually 1 Riot Squad is enough for each side but can always put 2 on the side that gets hit the hardest.

Before the final stand you can send an engineer down to the bottom early and build the standard turrets when you can and where you can. You wanna try and keep the units already down there alive. You shouldn't ever be overrun on the bottom if you have some standard turrets and at least 1 extra unit in areas where they'll come. Could have a unit on standby and have em go where you get hit the hardest.

With that said, micromanaging is also a big part of making sure things don't fall apart. You can reload saves and do trial and error and react/change things to correct mistakes.

Deploy Riot Shield troopers and position them to the parts where civilians are fleeing. Put some turrets behind them and they will buy you time until you finish the mission. I put my Riot shield troopers right on the reinforcement area so I can reinforce them even when I use their ability to become invunlerable to damage. You just have to hold on until the big guy says alright we're bugging off.
Coming back to this, and I managed to get through the mission first try!

I did get a bit overwhelmed at first but managed to set up my defenses, and this is what got me through it:

Maybe if anyone else is struggling, this layout can help you!
Hi, I'm stuck on this mission, but it's because my game has a slowmotion effect and stuttering at the same time during the last 5 minutes of the mission and I don't know what to do.
