Games like the book

I was wondering if any of you guys have found games that capture the spirit of the book and it's power armor? Recently stumbled on the mobile infantry event in Warthunder from a few years back and am looking for something else to scratch that itch.

At the beginning you just wear movie jackets but later on your troops all get power armor and it turns into mini-Mech Commander.

I hear a lot of people talk about making 'Starship Troopers' games "more like the book" and it makes me wonder how many people have actually read the original book. Why? Because the main character in the book spent most of the time in classrooms being educated. Only a few battles are described where the characters make use of Power Suits and dogs.

To be more on topic, I can't think of many games that come close to the thing in question that are still available and functional on modern hardware. However, if you like the idea of jet packs and smallarms against giant bugs, then I might suggest the game Space Engineers with a few mods available from the workshop. Helldivers 1/2 might hit the spot too.

my brother talks about the book a lot and yeah not as much action as one might think. i havent even read it but he says i should

Starship Troopers novel is good read - 1997 movie adaptation is kind of parady of the original novel... the original novel itself is "serious" military sci-fi with social and political themes (futuristic society dominated by a military elite)

Well, personally, fully intelligent-space faring Arachnids with laser weapons doesn't really sounds fun.
