But this seems more like a beginners RTS which is completely fine
(I want to see more missions where AI move up with you and actually help you rather than you control everything)
Welcome but maybe unrealistic additions would be things like the previously mentioned Galactic Conquest style game mode. It'd be pretty fantastic but it's definitely a lot of new systems they'd have to design. A playable Arachnid campaign could be really cool, sort of like how AvP Extinction let you play as every race, but it would take a lot of extra thought and effort. I could also get behind just another substantial MI campaign, maybe with new units and bugs. Co-op and/or versus multiplayer would also be really nice, but of course bring in a whole bunch of new problems the devs didn't have to deal with previously.
Godtier additions would be Workshop integration and easy access development tools so that users can make and share their own maps, scripted missions, even whole campaigns. It'd be nice to be able to replace models, textures, sounds, and unit functionality. I want to be able to see people do whatever weird passions they can envision in this game like making a Dead Space total conversion mod or something. I think this would do the most for the longevity of the game.
But for now , biggest hope is the modding tool and let the community do half of the work of developing new mode and new map .
