Whether it is worth buying depends solely on you
- if you are a diehard MP'er then no.
- if you are a primary SP'er then yes.

and if you are inbetween then it really depends on what you really are looking for. So far, this game only offers 1 campaign (pretty good for a couple playthroughs IMO) and 2 proper standalone maps which are nothing truly special but still decent, and as such its up to you if you feel its worth 10€, 20€, 25€ or any other number.

I say yes it was worth the price for me.

Its simple, do you like the movies and do you like (singleplayer) squad based rts ? Then its definitely worth the full price.

i say get it its a solid game for what it is at the moment, the campaign is enjoyable and the units are fun. there will be future updates but we dont know what yet

$30 for this amount of content is not small. They don't even have a sandbox mode so it is literally just the same exact missions meaning there isn't even any variables to make the missions more enjoyable when being played for even a second time. I'm sorry but go out and look at how many games out there have a similar or lesser price tag to content ratio.

@OP if you want an on the rails S.S.T. rts styled game purely for the universe I would say that yes it is a good game but sadly as much I love the S.S.T. universe the game just doesn't have enough content for me to feel like I got a good exchange rate on fun/cost. If they added in a sandbox/survival mission mode I would say that is would easily be worth it full price, but as it is every mission is just move here/complete objective which just triggers the next step in the game with no variables to the gameplay.

You can probably instantly tell whether you will like it or not just by watching some gameplay videos.
As for me, the game was surprisingly good i played it for >30 h , so 24.99€ were ok.

I don't mind the game and enjoy playing it. As for the Starship Troopers theme; if you're like the book, don't bother; but if you liked the movies then its OK.

If you really like the Starship Troopers universe, buy now and enjoy. The IP is elevated by this entry and all it's canon-quality trimmings.

If you sort-of like the IP but really crave a solid, Y2K-era RTS experience, also buy now.

Anything else, probably worth a wait for the sale.

If you're a fan of the films, don't wait for a sale, go ahead and grab it when you like. They get the setting spot on.

Mod support and a map editor are in the future last I heard.
At the moment you can only manipulate a few variables in-game but it's enough to get stuff like nukes, more bugs, edit unit stats etc.

Well worth it.

I think its worth buying, you love the movies, the game has plenty of scope to expand, its modifiable (there's a number of worthwhile mods already - even on steam) so it will have replayability . I hope the dev's bring out proper modding tools so the modders can go nuts.
