I think this game has failed Straship Trooper fans.
When it comes to my mind, the first thing I comes to my mind was klandathu drop and the battle defending outpost.
As a starship trooper fan,I've spend almost 48 hours in this game. completed the Campaign 3 times.The more I played it. The more disappointed i get. Before I downloaded the game, I was expecting to lead a group a brave men and achieve victory in the name of Federation.
The first time I was playing it. Oh I'm leading a division. Great, should be like 10K ppl. No problem.
Everything's fine until Fort Meru........(Back then sniper didn't was't the targets they are strong against.I microed it back then didn't seems a problem to me.(But my mind starts to tell me that I'm playing a tower defense game)
When defending fort Meru, I was expecting it to be the strongest defense line. with all these wave breaker countering those scorpions I think I might be able to master my forces to clear out the bug hive between waves.
Then what I saw next really made me mad. The wave breakers are all shooting warriors instead of picking off scorpions.
If it's in the movie, those gun operators will be hanged for treason by jeopardizing the mission. What happened to Everybody do their part?! From what I'm seeing here is everybody doing RIFLE TROOPER's part. Then I started microing by controlling those wave breakers and have their targets queued up.Guess what, The wave breaker shoot the last target instead----- There are no order queues in a RTS game?! DA FCK AM I PLAYING RED ALERT 95?!
After that I called in 2 engineer teams trying to set up my last defenses.Hoping 2 engineer teams working together build things faster.Guess what, only 1 team goes and the other team stood there and watch......in a game that was developed in 2022, don't know build things together?! even War Craft 3 Human knows to build things together, and it was developed in 2002! wow, lacking a function which already have 20 years ago. How advanced.
all of the sudden, "Enjoy a game"become"Endure a game"
If you think fort Meru was me not microing enough,The airbase was a complete failure.
you don't have the rocket trooper to instant kill scorpion or sniper to with sensor beacon to lure the hive this time.the only weapon against scorpion effectively was V3 power armor Troopers with upgraded weaponry. Which means you'll have to grind them til all of them reached V3, since they cost 1 war effort credit. means the only way you can call in more is to complete the bonus objectives. And scorpions shows up when you finished the first one. The rest of the process will be: Kite,kite,kite 1 task done, 1 more new power armor trooper kite,kite,kite. I spent the entire hour to just grind them to V3.
And voice actors are kind of giving me the impression like: Mehh, nahhh.... Yeah......Sure........Whatever.

I can laugh 'em back: You don't know ♥♥♥♥ 'bout selling! And you don't know ♥♥♥♥ 'bout starship troopers for sure!
Pal, do you really think making people microing all the time is really gonna help the developers sell their product? I recommended this game to 200 people, all of them are starship trooper fans and some of them got a fan club of it and I'm pretty sure I can nail those sales like fish in a barrel plus they got contact with more starship troopers fans..
.After I play this game,I'm not sure anymore.
From what I have seen before I post this article, People are more like enduring this game
rather than enjoying. I've been trying to reach the developers on steam, but nothing happened. I'm not a hater at the beginning. I've been nice. I've been polite. But not anymore.Fix the damn game and stop propagandizing by streaming it on steam! We'll do the propaganda part for you now get start fixing!

Its the same Genre but not the same Game, get it in your heads.

You don´t compare Chess with Monopoly just cause both are Board Games. You can do it, but it will have the same results here.


There Two things i only want for this game fixed: Chain commands and tweak for the heavy Arachnid Spawns (Scorpions and Tanker).

Long Term i just want more campaigns (Roughnecks Chronicles would be a good inspiration) and/or a good custom Skirmish Map generator for Defense or BugHunt.
(would also like for the Airport Challenge map to change the War effort generation to be like in the campaign, kill Bugs = get more War effort)

For auto targeting , I want to be cleared that it better be optional, people can still turn it off if they want more microing. what I want was give people the chance to refuse microing All the time.

About calling player's default name:6th division. The top amount of troopers players can gain was like 2 companies tops. So....... Welcome to Company of Heros : STTC eh?

You don't speak for all Starship trooper fans.

You can choose what the Wave Breakers shoot at, stop wanting the game to do everything for you, the games far from perfect but its not a disaster that you're making it out to be...

It sounds like you're playing it wrong, you're not supposed to have every unit stay alive, thats why they vet up so fast. There are times when you just have to throw bodies at the problem, which, as you know, is fitting with the communist themes of the universe. I completed Fort Meru on Hard first time playing the game, it took me a few tries until I started just throwing infantry men at the cap point to stop it being decapped until the mission was over.

You've played the game 3 times, it cant be that bad.

The wavebreaker gun also have longer range that what the white circle show . Order it to shoot at big target .

Honestly i am starting to feel a bit annoyed , this game have less micro than SC2 and yet people still want it easier to the point that they only need to auto attack move....

so,can you number them?you have to click on the mini-map to wave breaker's position then click back to the field. And I'm sure you might have some misunderstanding with communist.
They don't throw bodies at the problem.The movies or the games might show you that way. And I'm deeply sry that you fell for it.:(

First of all, SC2 can number buildings and structures. and they also have a order queue. STTC got none. lacking functions doesn't mean people should suck it up alright?

Most of the people want to the target prioritizing I might because they played a game called they are billions. in that game they have thousands of more danger threats. And I'm still convinced if you want to have the big battles in the future, target prioritizing and command queues are necessary. Look at the big picture, the current campaign are just battalion-size. Tops.What if there are division size of battle and you are facing the threat comes in hundreds? are you still sure you want to micro all your way out? I don't think even a SC2 Pro will be able to do that without a command queues and engineer teams don't know how to build structures and fix things together.

Because the game by itself is more on RTT , less than traditional RTS .

And building structure is the minor part in SC2 , micro is cus each unit have ability . For example the stalker with it blink ability is terrify in the hand of pro .

Between the 2 games , SC2 have more micro needed , this game only need minimum micro at best , order this troop to target the right bug and sometime press Q or E to activate the ability .

You can edit the amount of soldiers in all your squads with the "units" CSV file really easily if you know what your doing. I made it so every rifleman squad has 30 soldiers each an the warrior bugs have 20 in each squad made a big difference in how fun an more movie like it was. Just a lil tip

Auto-targetting has been suggested a lot and it's something we'll think about. This was really the only bit of feedback I took away from this...

Shift queing could be in the game,sometimes you need your engineer to build multiple turrets while you are also microing your army elsewhere.Statcraft 1 had this feature from 1998.

Fort Meru you meant to lose it,game does not communicate clerarly even suggesting for going for kill the hives while you are under attack.
It is a huge difficulty spike from the previous mission.

I think the game is good,need a few polish and slight balance tweaks.

That's a very unnecessarily angry assessment. While yes the controls could be better, it wasn't a complete failure of a game. Everything else I disagree with.

First of all, thank you for replying. I've been trying to make contact with you guys since the first time I send my reports.In fact you are the first developers who actually replied I've even come up with solutions than simply complaining.
Sir, If you really going to make a bigger battles for players to enjoy, having prioritizing target and command queues in the future are inevitable.Otherwise, it will be really catastrophic.
I've also posted Major Issues #1 and Major Issues #2. didn't get any replies until now. :(
