Tips for Mission: Knights in Power Armor

I've been trying this one for the past few days and I can't get through it. Every time I get to where the the hives start spawning scorpions I get overwhelmed by them and they just pick me apart. I tried going full rockets on the PA Troopers but that just means I cant repair on my Mechs and with the path-finding what it is, they just hang out having coffee or something instead of getting close enough to shoot the missiles.

So I've played all of them on Brutal, and I've learned a cheese which you'll find VERY useful. This advice in general works for other maps as well, any of them in which primary objectives are *not* tied to clearing out specific hives.

Plasma bugs are a joke. It's incredibly easy to avoid their AoE. And it just so happens that each Plasma bug is a primary objective.

What does this mean? Well, if you understand how this game works, primary objectives are what the bugs technology advancement is tied to. In other words: DO NOT KILL ANY PLASMA BUGS.

Seriously, don't kill them. Ignore each and every one. Focus entirely on clearing out the hives. If you do that: congratulations, you will never see a single scorpion or royal guard. The hives never upgrade their tech, and you can easily mow down tigers and warriors with your troops.

You can switch most trooper to saw which increase range and longer than scorp. Leave one trooper for engineer

I beat this by only clearing the first hive & bug to the north, got a howitzer mech, cleared out the central village, opened the gates, let my howitzer get in position to kill all the remaining plasma bugs from afar one after another rapidly so i wouldn't have to deal with the scorpions.
