Original Game

I remember the original game back 20 some years ago. Had a bug where it crashed in the middle of the game so I never got to finish it but it was fun up until that point, nothing like killing millions of bugs. It was more of a first person shooter.

The Ego Shooter isn´t the original game. Its from the year 2005.
It´s the second. The first one is the starship troopers terran ascendancy(2000). Also a RTS. Very nice game, i hope the new game is as good as it. Or better. Fingers crossed.

I have it still, and played through it last year.
Just love naming all my troopers and trying to keep them alive, nothing ruins that game to have a trooper die and its only replacement can't use a power suit or heavy weapons!

Played it, and it was hard as I was young and dumb, but What I remember is that death meant death, in this new game's videos we can see troopers being hit multiple times by bugs.. That's not how it works

even Starship Troopers: Terran Ascendancy had an Outpost mission as well, crazy one can't save middle of any mission, pure gameplay as we have in Terran Command.

I believe Terran Ascendancy started out as a massive third person shooter type. before the final RTS version that got released. that would have been very wicked would love to see a rts/rpg with direct control of units in fps or tps

ive played the fps game back then and liked it for the most part. nothing special though.
other than being a trooper, yeah! =]

now im very interested in a RTS game from this franchise and while waiting for STTC i wonder if the old rts game is worth playing for the story/campaign alone!?

I use only good old MI's with light armor - problem solved :D But yeah I do as well try to keep all the soldiers alive all the time :)
