Chapter 3: Dog Chew Toy, but no dog to be found?

Hey everyone,
so I'm starting to doubt if this is simply not working (potential bug?) or if this resolves in another chapter?

I met the guy and his dog in chapter 3. After talking to him to get the cap and later on noticing that his dog is missing, he gives me the dog chew toy. But no matter where I look, also after progressing further in the chapter, I can't seem to find the dog :( I could enter the store but this is probably a point of no return, as Lulu asks if I really want to enter it now.

Read that I should find the dog in front of the cinema but there's only the Doomsayer.

Sorry, it is a mistake in my guide. I replay the game to confirm, you will find the dog on the road north of the internet cafe .
