Also if they did associate Raya with Comet, now i guess i have some additional character interpretation. I think Comet is a celestial object which is beautiful yet looks powerful and sometimes, considered destructive. It took years, centuries or even millenias for a comet to meet the sun / other star. And you can only see the beauty of the comet when it getting closer to the sun /star.
And now i see Nirmala trading card is symbolised as star.
Wasn't Raya's story basically looks like that, too? She will got her best potential only when she is reunited with the sun/star a.k.a Nirmala.
Though there is some irony here - many comet will ended up burned in sun if they passed too close.
P.s : Did anyone get Atma card here? What was his symbol?
EDIT : I just saw Atma symbol, it symbolized as sun with cloud. I think it still related with the explanation above and also relates to his notable quote "in every storm you will found your sunrise", i think.
Atma Trading Card's looks like this 🌤️
