Do I have be using a character for traits like coin drop?

Farming coins and jewels. Do I have to be getting kills with that character that has them in their slots?

if you are trying to get more coins and choose a coin drop character, if playing solo you can have them in your team and do not have to play as them, in co op you must be playing as them.

you can also link other characters to your main character, so if a character has coin drop boost you can link it to yours and get the boost while playing your main( use the sort option and look for the skill)

if you want to friend me ingame i would love to add you to the guild its a guild i made its lvl 23 so far. my inagme name is Aom wither i am online almost every day, we can do guild chat. the guild bonus so far is
Coin discount character power up 5.20%
Damage+Quests 2.60%
Damage+Battles 2.60%
Damage guild quests 2%

Hey again and thanks. This is exactly what I needed to know. I wasnt sure if the character had to be getting the kills for the coin drop to activate.

Sent you a friend request. Its Arnul_ Also I dont know how to leave my current guild. The game kind of forced me to join one, I'm not seeing a leave option.

do you have guild invites enabled in the options? i cannot invite if you dont, you can also just join it yourself. and yes the game forces people into guilds the first time they unlock it.
higher lvl guilds usually kick players who are not too active but i dont.

i think to leave a guild you click your name on the main screen, top left, then scroll down past all your statistics and the guild stuff is somewhere down there

You don't need to, characters in your team count towards the bonus even if you don't control them

theres a free spot now, sorry i was waiting for the guild matinence and could not remove a guild member to make space while the matinence was going, now its over. it should work now
