Issues with downloading data

A while ago I downloaded the game and had this issue where whenever I had to download data, it would download a fraction of it then quit me out saying "Failed to download data. Returning to title screen. This made me quit the game as at every point I had to download anything this annoying thing would happen and I would have to go through the same process of hitting retry to chip away from the data to download.

Recently I returned to the game, reinstalled it and everything. I open the main screen and it asks me to download 2GB of data, I follow the process and what do you know, the same thing happened 7 months later. This 2GB of data to install isn't even going down at this point and I have 25GB's free.

Does anyone have a fix to this? I just wanted to play the game and not stare at a download screen.
