Issues with xbox controller

Every single button works except using the left stick to move around. It does absolutely nothing on the main menu or in game. Anyone have a fix? I already tried changing some settings in big picture mode

I have a PS4 Controller and i have the same problems as you. Every button works except the left stick

same, might be related to the mapping update they did possibly? Just a thought but not sure myself

Same, for some reason today i can't move with left stick. I need to plug in again the controller for left stick to work and after i restart the game the issue is still there.

So came up with a temp fix (dont like it but Im able to use my left joystick now). Will place a video on it shortly.

I felt like a video would better explain what I did, its a temp solution it works but not happy about this:

TL;DR - change left joystick to a directional pad and assign up,down,left,right to the appropriate keys

The video shows the controller layout, problem I see, how to change to the temp solution, and testing out the final product.

Another fix is to leave steam beta (go to settings>account>beta participation), after i left steam beta i can now move with my left stick.

I was thinking about that as well. Just not sure why the steam beta would cause an issue on a single game but that does make sense...

I don't even have beta participation available, it's automatically opted out. I'll try the video in a bit.

Steam just got updated with that beta update which caused left stick to not move, so the only solution right now is to do what ruffedgz said.

Yea im sad that the beta was more of a 'things to come' update with the controller :(

I went back to the beta steam client after my controller went back to this issue and its still the same, going to set my controls back to the crappy way for now but hope this can be fixed.

i didn't participate in steam beta and still have problem. i don't like set direction pad instead left joystick move. have the other way?

Dont like doing that either but right now, its a temp solution until this is fixed. Im going to keep an eye on this and hope it can be fixed soon (not sure if this is a Steam or KLab issue but there is an actual issue here)

Same here. Controller was ok this morning now its not. This fix is working tho, Thanks for the post ruffedgz! :)

So a comment on my video from a viewer that said he was getting the same thing but he fixed it by just doing the following:

Starting BBS on Steam >> Unplug the controller from the PC >> plug back in >> Wait for the Steam controller setting to work >> Works like normal

Ive been able to do this multiple times today without any issues and using the old Joystick Move option like before... Its a better solution then remapping but I would like this to be fixed all together.
