It is very funny to see, for example, Stalin pressing Voroshilov or Holland Smith saying some truth or Hitler still demanding something from Halder.
The voices of the units have their grace too, I don't remember any similar game where the units, when selected, say something.
Don't worry about the trivialities of spoiled children and keep doing the great work you have been doing.
Thanks! That is an interesting idea. We even thought of something like that before. The key problem with asking the community to voice units or to work with actors in other countries, is that the recording would be made using different equipment and in a room with possibly poor acoustics and not soundproof. So, the result would be very different across all participants and would not meet a one cohesive benchmark. If only we could invite everyone to our stidio to record that would have solved this issue.
Thank you for the feedback and support!
"My favorite unit is the US Anti-Air from Pacific. I hope he will make a return in the next game. "
We have just recently were recording unit lines with that very actor for Strategic Mind: Fight for Freedom. He also did VO for Blitzkrieg, but missed out in the Spectre of Communism.
Regarding Patreon:
Well, we had such thought, but did not give it too much consideration, to be honest. I think that is something we can think about. And thanks for support. I think the potential caveats with Patreon are that it is customary to make limited content for patreons only, and we would not want other players to miss out on that. (Although I guess we could share some extra development process materials.) Also, you are already supporting us by purchasing our games and soundtrack, so we do not know how popular the Patreon option would be. On the other hand, if Patreon will help bring about some additional features - that would be great for everyone. We did try such approach with our Strategic Mind Soundtrack, as it allows the community to fund our music production and we now can add much more historical music into our games. If you have any thoughts about how to best set it up to keep everyone happy - let us know and we will give it a though, and maybe implement it at some point.
For now, you could buy an extra copy as a gift for someone you know, or purchase the soundtarck, if you want to support music production.
Thank you very much for the feedback and support!
I ahve also noticed that you quickly get used to the actors way of spaeking and start to pay more attaention to the actual words rather than the way he speaks. Good to know you enjoy the cinematics/VO overall.
I only thought about what the units should say. :-) It would be enough. Something like a suggestion: Perkele, Нет Молотов and so on. Finally, I would like to say that for me, personally, all these videos and cutscenes are such a gift after my efforts.
