HP Victus Gaming Laptop

I am constantly having lagging and stuttering issues on my HP Victus gaming laptop in RO Ostfront 41-45, and I cannot see why, since this is a very old game. Is there any solution in order to fix this problem that I am having. I run the game on the highest in game settings, but even when I lower some or all in game settings, there is barely any change when it comes to lag or overall performance.
