But these types of games shine on their replayability. I loved Slay the spire, and once I saw this knew that i would also love this.
Those questions should help you decide, but to help you along. The game is fantastic in every sense of the word. Sometimes it is overly imbalanced against you, but you can easily become the same and it feels great when it happens!
It's not the kind of game you want to play all day (it gets kinda repetitive) but it can certainly last a very long time.
As far as run length goes, I've found it to be about 2-3 hours when getting started, and that time will go down the more you get used to playing it.
If I have one complaint about this game, it's that if you know how to play games like these, then you'll find this rather easy once you get the basics. It's not like Slay the Spire where death is a real possibility to skilled players who have bad luck or make bad choices. That being said, the 'secondary' final boss is basically a punching bag for damage high scores, so if you like the idea of building up a super character to see how much you can do, then you won't mind so much.
The difficulty does scale up indefinitely, but it goes too slow. I just beat difficulty 10, and I still feel I don't have to try all that hard to win.
