There are several non-obvious triggers for some events. For example, sometimes you have to run in circles with your torch extinguished... or you need to choose exact option in dialogue. Usualy people have probs with two last survivors: to save them, you need to start with "give me all you've got" on arena (training ground).

This happen to me too. I had also opted to finish the priest's quest and so she would do nothing when we met again. She used to give legendary cards before and during the quest.

I ended up just abandoning that run. It's so easy to get locked out of things.

you become overpowered as you play anyway so it's kinda fine
