What is so bad about running out of Wyrdlight/candles?
What can happen if you run out of candles and the wyrdlight goes away? The game just says danger. I guess that's part of the mystery, eh?

In combat you may get cards that forces you to either waste energy or face the consequences by ignoring them. A lower light means that these cards may buff the enemy or debuff your character AND you have to use your energy doing so.

Mainly the "Wyrdcard" you draw in Fights, becomes really bad and can realy screw you.
But beside that iam not sure what still exists in the game. I believe 0 Candlelight also makes the Enemys stronger at least that was how it worked a coupled of Months ago but that might have changed.

Ok, thanks.

I was running around without a candle and I triggerd an event event the one time I did it. That "fight" ended a run of mine earlyier so I've decided to not be curious about it until another time.

Also, if your candle is zero, and you walk around the Wyrd, you can encounter things (usually bad) that are not on your map.

if ur deck is good at the end just consider running around without light before the last boss to farm those rnd encounters u need them for quests

i haven't wanted to test it for fear of losing candles, but is the duration of the candles based on movement or just time? I really hope it's the former because i suck at navigating and will be wasting candles.

Movement within the Wyrd only.

Is there any source of wyrdcandles besides those milestones? I’m on my third boss and have 1 left and I barely use them
Takichi Jun 5, 2021 @ 8:34am
you dont realy need them after third boss, because there is only One Encounter afterwards.

Honestly not much..............
I didn't even realize Wyrdcandles were a thing until I got the Candlemaker

The "scary" card it "forces" you to play is usually completely irrelevant

Note you do not get Tallow, used for upgrading said candles, without burning a candle while moving about.

Question though: Is there a way to snuff the candle in case you want to save burning?

Pls dont tell such crap xD - 2/3/4 Energy is absolutly relevant. Or loosing 100% of your DMG. 'Sure for some classes thats more relevant than others. But dont tell People, espacialy new ones, its irrelevant because its not xD And on Higher Difficultys basicly skip 1 Turn means death to you :D

You get special encounters when not using the candles so Its worth not using them sometimes.

You can eventually recruit the candle maker for your village.

You can buy a few from him for gold and then you will also start getting Tallow as a currency hat will help you with upgrades. You can boost the number of candles to start a run, the number of candles that you get for defeating the boss, and the duration of the candles
