cant plant seeds?

Idk what i'm doing wrong. i am unable to plant seeds i am trying to do the tutorial and planting the daisy seed. i place the daisy seed on the ground, take out the hoe tool then try clicking on it with no success i can click everywhere else but on the daisy seed. the hoe does not do anything on the daisy seed.

I think this was a coding error in the current Steam version, it should be fixed in the current version of the game. I'll try to patch it here as well if I can
