Hate is an strong word, but I would say Kurt or Elliot, both because of the same: Their only drive in the whole games are his "dual swordmanship" and "music". At least Elliot had 4 games to talk about how he really never liked the Militar Academy.
Hate Rufus
Love Emma and Celine
Angelica is my most hated character
- Alisa is my favourite character for the well-developed character arcs (and no that is not a euphemism or double entendre).
- Cedric is my most hated character for becoming such an lunatic butt hole.
Series-Wide:
- Estelle is my favourite character for having great character growth
- Shirley is my most hated character for being utterly psychotic.
I guess I like Crow the most. He's interesting, and he's a good dude, plus he's the only character who I think I'd befriend if he was an actual person.
I can say for sure I like Rean the least. He's as dry as a cardboard box in the Sahara in Summer. The guy has three modes: hating/blaming himself, thanking someone for no reason, and is completely oblivious to the fact that every woman around him wants to bone him.
I'd also like to add one more category of what weirded me out the most: the game dev's obsession of shipping Agate/Tita. Dude's 28 and she's 16. I guess 12 years of age gap is not a big deal in this day and age but.. she's underage. They made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
McBurn is awful, he's like a self insert OC a 14 year old boy would invent.
I rly like Estelle, Agate and Renne+Tita. And Oliver +Shera and Toval and ! last but not least: Anelace <3 i love her..she's strong and cute =)
Oh ya and i like Mueller and Josette ;)
And i rly like KeA <3 but more in a sweet little sister-liking.
Ok are: Randy, Joshua, Alica, Sharon, Marchias, Elliot, Gaius, Fie, Sara, the cat and Emma.
Lylod is ok, but a bit +weak+ at arguments (have not played azure), Kurt is a bit annoying, Rean has a sister-complex and is too MUCH the harem-guy. I cannot stand Elie very much ^^
I rly hate Mcburn, the villain of Zero, Weissmann, and some Enforder.
I like campanella of the bad guys :D dunno why. Mostly a funny guy. Mysterious, powerful and sadistic ^^
Most liked: Arguably Rean - he has so many subtleties in his character which are usually missed, and his backstory is well enough fleshed out for all of his motivations and self doubt to make sense. He's definitely the main protag with the most depth to his character. (Estelle is awesome, but because of her nature, she doesn't go through the full spectrum of growth that Rean has to.) That's not to say there weren't missteps with him, obviously.
Really like Fie, although her character was more interesting before she got romantically interested in Rean. Always had a soft spot for Jusis, as well. The Black Rabbit is another honourable mention. So, yeah, give me characters with subtleties, and I'll probably like them.
Least liked: Gaius. I have no respect for an extrajudicial assassin, let alone one that rationalises their position as such by divine diktat, like the Gralsritter do. Let me rephrase that, I have no respect for ones who do all that, and still get portrayed as being bland and whiter than white. (At least Kevin has depths to his character that let's you understand why he would do objectively awful things.) Then there's the whole hoarding technology from other humans thing, sitting twiddling on their thumbs throughout history whilst sept-terrion related disasters happen, et cetera. Not to mention that Gaius has virtually nil character growth whatsoever throughout the entire series. Yeah, he's probably my most disliked character.
Honourable mentions: Elliot's one dimensional nature makes him hard to warm to. It wasn't helped by his unfortunate character shrinkage in CS2, where he goes through a realisation that going to Thors was actually a really good thing for him as a person as a whole to... quitting the school half way through to go do music, and return to the person he was before. Honestly, the whole mass exodus from Thors hurt the character growth of pretty much all of Class VII, but Elliott's was the most annoying imo for the above reason. I know they wanted a final scene of them as Class VII in the game, but in terms of characters they would pretty much all have been better off completing the two years at Thors. But I digress.
Oh, and Angelica. For obvious reasons. It's not too bad when she is hardly in the game, but it really gets wearing the more of her you see.
Honestly, most of the bad guys have enough to their characters that I don't dislike them as characters, even if I dislike what they are doing. The above 3 I just dislike as characters.
Although I do want to play NG+ to get all the stories I missed (hopefully within the next year as I have 12 exams to bull through)... Class7 has their thing since they've been around for 4 games... although oddly enough Emma is a lot less interesting than she should be. Gaius' arc makes no sense... bring Kevin back.
Ourobouros is kind of useless at this point since they seem to take a backseat... the most developped member really seems like Bleublanc who has some moral compass and rationale for his actions. McBurn/Campanella... insert a fastfood commercial... just no interest or care. :D
Kea / Jona / Renne - their VA's nag me a LOT more than the characters.
