Trails of cold steel 3 vs 4

So Trails of cold steel 3 was my first game, what I didn't like very much about 3 is that they talked a lot and mostly the dialogue was unnecessary, there was little gameplay. What I want to know is if this game is equal or better in certain aspects?

I preferred 3 over 4 tbh. Did you not play Cold Steel 1 & 2?

It's the series thing to have lots of "unnecessary" dialogue as they build up NPCs, etc... So if you didn't like it in 3, I don't think you'd have liked it in the other 8 games.

the only game i've ever played is 3, I probably don't like 4 then; they talked a lot

The entire franchise is story first, gameplay second. If you didn't like the amount of dialogue in 3 you aren't going to like this franchise.

so im trying cold steel 4, and for some reason im liking the story more. For me cold steel 3 was boring, but cold steel 4 has an interesting start, for now

dont get me wrong but you probably dont know anyhting about the starting characters
this series pays off to play all previous games
