Controller Recognition Issues

I love as we moved up to this version, my PS4 controller is no longer recognized.
Anyone else having this issue as well?
I tested it with Senkou 3 just now, and it's fine there.
Any ETA on fixes?

Did you adjust your Steam settings to "officially" recognize the PS4 controller as the one that you're using to play games? When I played another game where a lot of folks had the controller recognition issues, I discovered that the issue's source was because Steam does NOT automatically "officially" identify the controller you're using by default. On the Menu Bar up top, click on "Steam" -> "Settings" -> "Controller" -> "General Controller Settings" and then make sure "PlayStation Configuration Support" and "Guide Button Focuses Steam" are checked.

Thanks. Curiously enough the thing wasn't ticked anymore. I'll chalk it up to the recent Windows update, but what gets me is that it still worked with Sen 3. Thanks

Yes I played dozens of Steam games without issue, but once I bought Sword Art Online, I saw folks having controller issues. That's when I looked into the issue further, discovered this Steam setting, and never had any of the controller issues people wrote about. Hopefully that resolves your issue!

I think you forgot that in the past series, we need to disable that to use DS4 properly, cuz if we enabled it we'll have some deadzone problem with left analog stick and all buttons will be messed up. (but it seems fixed now in this game)

Though, i'm not surewhen, you can also just let it can stay disable and use controller properties for each game which is what i do now.

right click on coldsteel IV -> properties -> controller -> enable steam input.

I don't use DS4 for the other Sen. It works with the PS4 controllre like a charm by this point.
I couldn't menu without the gamepad so it would have been a deal breaker for me till it was fixed, turns out it just was disabled for some reason. I was wondering why the Green Light was off I put on it, but didn't consider it that deeply till then.
