The dlc price
Shop memes aside, what the hell is that price, 40$ for a consumable bundle?

Yeah that's a lot of items but 40€ is way too steep.

The DLC is ridiculous for this game...
Regardless of how many items you get, your basically paying for another game entirely, just to get some items early....

If I wasn't a huge fan of the Trails series as a whole, I would have been completely turned off by the INSANE and ridiculous DLC and not even looked at this game to buy...

But I mean I am already 8 games in, so I can't really ignore this one... Especially with how CS3 ended...

Well it's not like you actually need the DLC, or that it has any extra content. It's just there for people who want to play dressup and/or have a bit of a crutch in the sense of carrying more consumables than usual. On normal at least, you will barely need consumables (or droplets) at all, so it really doesn't matter.

On nightmare, you barely need it either. Its honestly the U mats is what is so useful in that bundle.

I understand, but all it means is that you're saved a couple of hours farming or fishing for them. Convenient, but nothing more than that.

Honestly I was surprised how many UMats the game drops for you compared to 3. 3 I was stretching each one while 4 I have hundreds by the midpoint and you can just play VM over and over for more.

Due to DLC I started the game with 841 U-Mats. I used them all up in Act 1.

By end game I estimate that I likely used somewhere in the ball park of 3,500 U-Mats.

Stuff really gets expensive to make in the late game.

Hell the final orbs for the mechs are like 96 each... and there is what... 5 orbs? That's practically 500 U-Mats on that alone. Of course though I upgraded them each time I could throughout the game too... so that's probably an additional couple hundred. Not counting the Pawn Shop accessories and quartz. Or weapon upgrades in each area of the game.

Well that makes this easy. Just hack myself 841 u-mats and I'm done. No ridiculous $40.00 cost either....

I mean thats the whole point of the dlc (outside of cosmetics), its mainly meant for people who didn't want to cheat in material but makes things easier. Even then, you'll be farming for U-mats and Sepiths if you're going to be making builds.

I certainly wouldn't spend the $40 asking price for the consumable set... But I did buy the game + all DLC on release day as there was a decent enough sale where I got the entire package for roughly 40% off the listed MSRP.

Well, I bought it so I'm not the one to talk, but You really don't need it, If you don't buy, it'll just need some farming. OK, some serious farming, the U-material alone would make me go insane. But it's doable, so you don't need to worry. Just have fun either way :)
