Hajimari is getting a PC release in Japanese and Chinese languages here pretty soon. If you can read either of those languages, or if you don't mind following a storyline guide, you could probably play it pretty soon.

Publisher Clouded Leopard Entertainment has announced that Nintendo Switch and PC versions of Nihon Falcom’s The Legend of Heroes: Hajimari no Kiseki will be heading to Japan and Asia on August 26, 2021. The Switch and PC versions will come bundled with the previously released DLC costumes and items. The new release will also include the “Beyond the Reverie” update that adds content such as an expanded level cap, additional playable characters, and new episodes. The game originally released in Japan on PlayStation 4 last year, though no English release has been announced thus far.

There's a couple of very good guides for the game already on gamefaqs that are pretty in depth, meaning the author assumes the people reading it know English and not Japanese. So, it's playable, even full completion playable with guides and storyline transcripts already on the internet.

I took 3 years to localize Cold Steel III and IV so I guess IF there is a Hajimari localization, the earliest will be 2023, and 2024 for Kuro.
We can only hope.

Next year for Hajimari, most likely. It usually takes around 2 years after the Japanese release for a Western release, not 3.

I'd be happy to wait 2 years for Hajimari if that would mean we get official localisations for Zero and Ao on Steam. Geofront is great, but I still want them here! :-)

2 years for console and 3 years for Steam. As a non-console person I only counted 3.
If we really get English console next year then 2023 Steam release is safe.

From their Japanese release dates maybe... but from the time NISA actually started working on them it wasn't nearly that long. Since NISA took over the localization we've had a new game release each year on console with the PC release roughly 6 months later.

It has been stated before that Falcom refuses to hand over materials to get started on localizations until the game is complete. This means unfortunately we'll never have a simultaneous release... and we'll likely always have at minimum a year gap between the Japanese release and the English release.

It's pretty possible that COVID19 slowed production down, especially considering we know that at least some of the voice work for Cold Steel 4 was recorded from home. It's also possible we'll get a Kiseki release this October.... though we haven't heard anything just yet, so I kind of suspect we won't this year. But I do believe we'll get Hajimari no later than 2022. I can't see them waiting till 2023 to get it out.

I also still have hope we'll see Zero & Azure Kai before Hajimari. Especially since Hajimari loads saves from those games in the Japanese release.

The thought of Hajimari no Kiseki being released in English literally made my day. God, I hope this happens. I absolutely love the Trails franchise. Love, love, love.

It's a shame that they always take so extremly long for the western release. Personally i don't get it.
I had the slight hope that we would see Hajimari in 2021 - but it seems that they will stick to the 2 Years cycle which means PS 4 release for the third quater 2022 and a steam release second quarter 2023..... sad af
