The hidden MT6 upgrade is a space elevator which reduces the drone construction time and the launch cooldown. Also the upgrade on the leftmost side doubles the drones produced on each completion and can be bought multiple times.

It's a relative new/early savegame on the screenshots they replied to that question on their discord. So it's 1st floor stuff .. doesn't look like there will be new skills with 2nd floor... but who knows.... :)

On 1st and 3rd screenshot, the skill [2] is there, but not on 2nd screenshot. On 2nd there is still the [1] exotic, so it is probably floor 2 :D

Currently there is no plan to add extra exotic skills for the 2nd floor of buildings.

is there a beta open to the public that you can opt in for? i quite enjoy your game and want to test the new features, even if they are a bit unstable

There is currently non.
Plans are that Patreons will get access to early builds. But there currently is no ETA on that.
