Returned to the game at MT12 I'm overwhelmed and need help lmao

1. Idk how to avoid wave skipping hundreds of Eras, I want to skip waves at a rate of a billion, but never skip Era levels, I didn't reveal every Era element power and I need to farm some hits.
2. I've mainly just been doing Factory stuff and working on Arcade tokens, can you do all test challenges at MT12 or is there a specific criteria I need to keep in mind for them? I've mainly only done the challenges in the first 3 zones, but haven't done all in any save for zone 1.

Any tips you'd have? Part of me suspects "Yeah, restart the game" is one possible idea.

EDIT: I have infinity unlocked, but I'd only ever gotten to Infinity 1 and only on the first zone on Easy difficulty. Also I was mistaken, I'm on MT12, not 13.

to not skip eras you need to disable era surge, burst, and critical wave jump. and all challenges are possible pre era
