How can I craft saplings?

Hi!
I just unlocked the factory second floor. Google says I can craft saplings for the treefarm. But I don't see an option anywhere to craft a sapling. I researched rubber, and flattened rubber, thinking that maybe it's locked behind that, but still I don't see sapling as an option in the crafter.

Sappling is locked behind Floor 2. At least, the tree area is anyway. I'm not really sure if the sappling recipe shows up without floor 2 unlocked. Recipe should show up in recipe list under 'sapplings' and is T9 Ore surrounded by 8 rubber. It has been known to be buggy for some people as well. If you have the above and it wont work/show, try the discord.

Ah, using the search bar worked. I clicked through all crafting tabs and tiers, but didn't find them. They should either get their own tab, or get added under the materials t9 tab, since they need t9 ore (haha apparently by choosing 2nd floor factory at military tier 4 I stepped into a noob trap, it is pretty useless unlocking it this early)

Sapling does get its own tab. All of the F2's are fairly new and there is some obvious balancing concerns, but they were added in addition to existing features without rebalancing around the new stuff and people have been 'beating' the game without them for a while. Its not going to hinder your progress. Don't worry about it.

Are there more saplings besides the rubber sapling?

There were pumpkin (saplings) for Halloween, but they are not useful outside of the event.

yeah they need to add more saplings and more land to be planted on
