a stack is 1e18 items
Here are two screenshots illustrating this, using exactly 1621 Tier 2 production boosters, the 1st is all in one stack:

the second is all evenly distributed as evenly as possible, given it was an odd number of boosters to begin with:

Notice how much more the bonus is?
I made some more T3 Boosters just now for testing, and those returns are way worse than just diminishing! Going from 400 to almost 20000 (~4900% increase) only increased my multiplier from 7800 to 7900 (~1.3% increase). Definitely not worth the investment.
Max stack probably just isn't possible on any tier booster. 1e18 is a lot.
I think the last time I stopped my gems/exotic producer fabrication to make boosters it took me some 3-4 days (real days at ~max idle mass production....) to make 1e8 T2 for both producer and drops boosters.
So what? 1.5e10 DAYS to make a max stack for just T2 of one type...
Prolly borked the math on that but it'd be a loooong time =-P
