played the demo and bought it today, got the achievement for completing act 1 but not the tutorial, even after completing the tutorial via settings twice didn't count.

I installed the free demo. It gets to the text language screen and refuses to acknowledge mouse clicks. Windowed or full-screen makes no difference. The cursor follows the mouse and shift-tab works.

Probably I am one of only a few who run games in a virtual machine in order to isolate them from my "mission critical" data. Some games do not work well in a VM. Unfortunately Mystic Pillars is one of them. I did not get beyond the start screen because mouse clicks did not seem to arrive at Mystic Pillars.

Mode: full-screen
Host OS: Win 10 64-bit with most recent updates
VM OS: Win 10 64-bit with most recent updates
Virtualization software: VMware Player 15.5.2

I have the same issue: mouse clicks don't work on the text language screen.

For everyone experiencing mouse issues, we are looking into it and will update you guys asap. We have seen that in a couple of instances updating your graphics drivers fixes this, please do try this and let us know if it works!

We have pushed out an update with a possible fix for the mouse input issue. Updating graphics drivers has fixed the issue for a couple of people so please do try that step out as well.

(Note: I played during one of the promotional Demos before recently purchasing the game)

my data was saved, but I do remember using my mouse to play the game, but for me, updating my drivers did NOT fix the issue for me, I can play it with a controller fine

I tried the steps, restarting Steam, Updating Drivers, Uninstalling and Reinstalling, Validating Files & even reset my progress, none of which allow me to use my mouse or keyboard at all, the game only works whenever I plug in my controller and use that instead
