What's the difference between this and the first one?
Both seem to have over 300 Nexomon to capture. Is it just set in a different region?

This is a direct sequel. Region wise, idk but there's at least new areas from the trailers/screenshots/gifs.

The UI is brand new, and every Nexomon I've seen in the trailers/screenshots looks like a new one. It said unique in the description, I don't know if that means there's 300 new ones or not.

The battle background also have some animations in them which wasn't in the original game. So visual improvements.

I fail to see so far how anything this version has can simply not just be an update or DLC to the original. Seems like a dangerous attempt and milking the PC community IMO.

Graphics improved, New monsters, New area. I can't judge the battle system until I play it though.

The original game came out in 2017... and this sequel isn't even coming to mobile as far as I can tell.

I got 40h out of the original game doing everything. Wow, what a ripoff. /s

New elemental types too.

Yeah looks like they're going a different direction than pokemon with their sequels. Not *adding* to the pool of nexomons, but completely remaking the roster.

Honestly looking back that might have been a better way to go for Pokemon too, since it has a serious issue of too many pokemon now. Guess that's fun in its own way too though, different styles for different games.

inb4 this thread gets deleted like many others......... for obvious reasons......

why sell one time when they can sell 2 times with tiny differences and extra name on the title.... imagine. havent finish the first is close to release a second, tons of people got wind of it, massive threads deleted and the trend goes on..... oh and suddenly after backlash "the first" is out of EA overnight.... nothing suspicious going on. /s

Have you played the first game? It's not just the same one with "tiny differences", this seems to be a whole new game, with new areas, a new story and quite a lot of new creatures. Even the UI is completely different! It's like looking at Pokémon Red and Pokémon Silver and saying they're both the same game.

Although, I do agree that the first one is not polished enough and could use some updates, which makes me kind of wary of Extinction if they're going to do the same.

I'm a little wary of the second. The first so far is very content light and extremely easy. The lack of the original 300ish Nexomon is going to seriously cramp gameplay unless theres any sort of meaty post game content (pokemon's postgame has suffered; but at least has its immense monster variety; while Nexomon has neither unfortunately.)

Can't figure out if the people complaining are being sarcastic or plain old ******. this is not like pokemon which releases 2 to 4 versions every time with some uniques making tons of people having to buy them all. It's an entire new game where you can get all of the mons and items in a single game AND it costs a fraction of any pokemon game.

Outrageous is people supporting pokemon with their releases;
blue, red, green and yellow were all basically the same
gold, silver, emerald were all basically the same
ruby and saphire, same
sword and shield same each costing 60 euros/dollars

Try to get any of those games and see how much they cost comparing to this and how many hours you get out of each one SMHH

Yeah, they first one gets the pass because it's a almost direct port of the mobile version without all the p2w ♥♥♥♥ and it had a good pricing.
But if they didn't changed the terrible battle system i'm not going to bother with this one.
Personally i'm not really bothered they changed the whole rooster because most of the monsters were truly atrocious design wise.

i dont like the idea of simply remaking the entire roster but at the same time just constantly adding new ones was a problem with pokemon.
