Endgame content?
I've tried searching but not found anything solid.

I'm really tempted to get this game. I loved old pokemon, the new stuff just doesn't appeal to me. Too many gimmicks (Dynamax in SwSh etc, absolutely awful feature) I could just emulate older pokemon but I'd be happy to support alternative games if they fit my needs.

Main question, what happens at end game? I don't need anything story related or spoilers just mechanically. Is there anything repeatable? Like, repeatable battles or is it just collecting anything you haven't got yet? Ideally I want this game for chilling out in the evenings when I don't wanna focus on an FPS or anything so I just want to find something I can sink hours into without worrying about the end of a story ending the game.

you can keep playing after finish the story, and there is stuff to do after, and also this game have insane replayability, you can also do a new game plus. check the latest custom mode also just added to the game, a bunch of stuff to do, so dont worry.

the world and tamers (the trainers you fight against) always improve and level up to fight you again and again, their nexomons also evolves, its pretty fun, there is some mysteries to solve, also legendaries to catch, cosmic nexomons, try to catch them all, and stuff, dont know all of its content of end game yet, but its just what i found and notice while playing

also there is cores that you equip in your nexomons, and you need to always improve on that, and mine shards to make them, so much to do, loving it <3 also would suggest you to look into the achievements of the game, if you are interested in see a bigger picture maybe of somethings you can do

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks for the great replies. I love it when games make things repeatable so you can continue playing post story and stuff. I'll definitely throw it on my list and get it when I've finished some of my current games. Cheers!

it also keeps tracks of quest objectives and side quests, which is handy

Post game without spoilers:

- Roaming Legendaries to catch. I mean like 10+
- Other legendary fights and such
- More stuff to catch that is too much of a spoiler to mention
- Not really end game but likely finished are 9 dungeons that each have a prize at the end which gives access to one of the above post game stuff.
- NG+ allows you to start a new game with Nuzlocke rules, or increased level cap to 999, increase the exp, randomise starters, randomise encounters, level move ups, etc lots of options
- Can re-battle all trainers in the world and there's an item to speed this up, helping in training a team to 99/999
- Lots of side quests to finish
-Shiny hunting. Items in game to increase 'Cosmic' encounters. i think once you complete your 'dex' and beat the game the odds go up too. I beat the game and have since encountered 3 whilst grinding hard.
- World level exists. I have completed the game and the average wild mon is 67-72, grinding is never TOO hard. Trainers later on upon re-challenging end up having different mons and harder teams

You'll be entertained a long time, I'm sure.

If you care about the achievements make sure to do everything on your first play through. From what I can tell what you do in custom games does not count towards achievement progress. Just a heads up in case that matters to you.
