There should be visual info for whether you've defeated a tamer twice in battle
Something like two checkboxes above their heads, one for every battle you've won against them. They start out empty, but once you beat them a checkmark fills one.
This way people can easily know which battles they've won (twice) for the associated achievements.

i just remembered.

like srsly. the game is fun enough to just clear every area again. pretty sure some of the tamers a scared of me after grinding them :P. as a rule of thumb > clear every biom completly before going to the next. should make that a breeze. and dont forget that there is 1 tamer in the hidden forests caves that could end up forgotten.

At least one tamer shows up only after you've been to the area for the first time, I think in Drake Isles.

There are 84 tamers to keep track of. Maybe you have such a good memory, but most people won't. Having no ingame map makes this even more tedious.

I managed to get the all tamers achievement in the first Nexomon game without looking up anything, mostly because its areas were much more linear than the areas in this game. For this one I had to look up a list and work through the entire thing to finish up both tamer battle achievements.

I guess this thread's been getting traction lately (2 whole new posts), but I've managed to get the achievement some time ago (the last guy I needed was the tamer in east Outlands, before the Frozen bridge).

I also want to add that it doesn't help that a few tamers don't trigger a first battle on sight, making it more difficult to identify those tamers you haven't dueled with before when you're going back to earlier areas.
If they were going to implement something like this, which seems highly unlikely and pretty unnecessary, it would make more sense to add a menu tab that tracks this rather check mark boxes over an npc's head. That said, if it's REALLY that important to you just wait out the reset timer on fights and do them both at the same time.

That's not how QoL works though.

Sure, you could just keep track of every tamer yourself by taking notes and even waiting 15 minutes for every single one of the 84... Or you could have some ingame feature that helps you remember so you don't have to do all that tedious work.

The same line of thinking would deem the display unnecessary which shows you whether or not you have caught a Nexomon before. It's true, you could also keep track of that yourself. It's merely a convenience feature but that's all this is about. This isn't meant to point out something essential, just something that would significantly improve QoL.

I like how you seem to completely gloss over/ignore my suggestion that if they were going to implement something for this that it would make more sense to add it as a menu tab. I'm not against the idea in general, I just think it's stupid to want the creators to go through all of the potential hassle to do what is being asked over a single achievement. That's the rationale that is being put forth here, that "Oh noes! I have to put some effort into getting an achievement !".

The same could be said about having a "captured" display. Which we do have.

This is called feedback. I do not expect anyone to do anything. It's only a suggestion.

What I don't really get is why you get so bothered by this. You disagree, I get it. That's fine. Now move on maybe?

So I don't get to voice an opinion unless it completely agrees with the OP? So much for this being the "discussion" section...

But you did get to voice your opinion! I don't see your messages removed or anything.
This is clearly steering off topic though, so I'm done here, cheers.

This is what I was referring to, specifically the portion I have made bold for your convenience:

You want me to "move along" because you don't like that I disagree with the reason people seem to want this change.

I originally suggested both a way to, in my opinion, better implement the change that is being asked for as well as for people to suck it up and just wait if they really care about getting the achievement.

From what I can remember a lot of the npcs have unique models which would help with identifying them. Information about where the npcs are and what team they had to also be helpful. Granted tracking their team would not work in a custom game since you can change it to where npc Nexomon teams are randomized, but it's an example of info that could be included to potentially make the feature more useful.

You are the one who began derailing this thread by fixating on the last sentence in my original post.

You are the one with nothing to say about changing the check marks over an npcs head to a menu tab.

You are the one who has nothing to contribute but whinging about how getting an achievement actually takes a little effort.

If it really is your aim to keep threads constructive and on-topic then do that rather than spending your time pondering why someone wants to take part in a discussion .

so just to make sure i checked and every tamer you have fought atleast once has a different dialoge after defeat/engage. usually they tell you something like "look how much stronger i got" "dang, still not good enough". i know that it helps little if you want fo fast track past every tamer. but i does indeed help to be certain.

expanding on my suggestion to just clear every biom after the other > splitting the achievement up or having a bar in game that tracks "tamers beat twice per biom" should be more then enough to help you. with a good frontliner or duo you can breeze through every zone in 5-15min depending on routing. this should help a lot for those who dont want to do what i did. Replay every zone in post-final again to make sure i hadnt missed something and just check how tamers that dont auto aggro adress you.

i dont think its as hard as some seem to think it is to do this. most zones have like 6-10 tamers maximum. only ignitia and tundra are big and have very spread tamers.
