Status Effects: What do they do?
Looking for explanations on the various status effects, because several hours into the game I've never seen an explanation for any of them, and several of them I still don't have the faintest clue what they do.

Poison: Damage every turn, does not go away
Burned: Damage every turn, does not go away
Frozen: Cannot take any action, goes away after a random number of turns
Demotivated: Chance to not use a skill. Decreases effective speed?
Frail: Decreases defense?
Stun: Cannot take action. Lasts one turn.
Puzzled: Cannot take action? Lasts a number of turns, shown in battle
Bind: Damage every turn. Cannot swap out with someone else in party. Lasts a number of turns, shown in battle
Paralyzed: Chance to not use a skill. Always go last in a turn?

If anyone could include others I've forgotten / haven't seen, and clarify some of their effects, I would appreciate it.

Demotivate is like stun - you just don't do anything that round - it is random on how often it goes into play - seems like a 33% chance - there are #'s next to the # of times demotivate affects you. Most I've seen is 3x

I think I saw confusion - some of the pink psychic mons have it. Chance to hurt yourself I believe.

Confusion does indeed gives a chance to fail an attack and take (minor) damage.
I don't remember, but I think I saw number of turns for the confusion effect.

Frail reduces defense, I confirm.

Paralize doesn't always mean go last, but it might reduces speed, need to test it.

There is also sleep status, but I haven't had the chance to experiment much with it.

Also, I think I might've saw "haunted" or something like that one time, but really not sure and I didn't use this monster.

Paralyze appears to be random it looks like a 1/3rd chance; it appears to last the entire time - but it is the same as "stun" -- Stun doesn't show up as a status effect. It just happens after an attack that is a "normal" attack wtih the stun modifier. It is not always go last - the enemies have had paralyze and went first.

Sleep just prevents you from going - I have been put to sleep before and "fed" and "nex-trapped" and it reduces the sleep timer.

You have to take X steps after a battle for Sleep to fall off your Mon as well.

I can't tell what Puzzled does - it doesn't appear to do anything???

Frozen is for sure the best modifier in the game - it is a for sure stun that is long lasting.

The Haunted is probably Hex or Curse - I think Hex is a damage over time.... or lower the status - I never got it off.

Curse I am not sure what it is but it has a 5X counter that goes down. Maybe it slays your mon if it gets to 0?

I did confirm that when the turn timer on curse runs out, nothing happens -- you just stop taking periodic damage.

I just encountered Possessed it looks like you just do a random action regardless of what you pick. My Greben used recover 5 turns in a row.

Hi guys and thanks for talking about statues issues in Nexomon.

Not fun to be totally lost with no information related to statues effects in the game itself. I got to understand a few of them like stun and frozen but i still didn't get the status ''Cursed".

Took a look on the web but nothing about it. I started my story with the ghost type and learned a new skill that cursed the opponent nexomon.

During the fight it's possible to see near the enemy's life point a number that decrease like with the frozen status but nothing else and the oppenent nexomon continues to attack like nothing happened to him.

Pleas is there someone able to help with this particular status effect named "Cursed"?

there's sick status which i think only ghost types have the move that inflicts it.

sick - prevent healing

Thanks! That is super helpful!

It is really bad that you cannot just hover over the status effect and get some explanation. Why do all console games have to be ported so badly on PC?
ReignEdaze Sep 3, 2020 @ 7:48am
port has nothing to do with lacking glossary or uninformative tooltips, plenty of ported games have well informed tooltips or at the very least, a glossary int he menu of terms.
but yes, there is a lot of info the game "should" have in it, and knowing what your skills actually do is one of them.
