Installation problem

Hi

I am on Windows 10 and just installed FG by the Steam button. It started with the password dialog for the Admin privileges. This surprised me, as it is the first game from stem, I remember requireing this for the installation. After finishing, it asked me to download an updater thing. Done and started, it asked me to select a directory to store stuff and proposed some where in the admins directory!?! Be it as it may, when I start it by Steam always asks me to enter the password for the Admin privileges. Is it really meant to run under Admin privs? Did I do something wrong?

When I start the updater from the file system as ordinary user, I get asked to store my stuff in my personal directory. That looks fine to me. Then I get asked to enter my FGU credentials. I cannot yet, because the site is down apparently. I presume, that the license keys are to be entered there. If not so, I would be glad, if someone could tell me, what I have been doing wrong there too.

We played last night for four hours and I have FGU open right now, so it's working for me.

I don't use Steam to run FGU, but I did check my executable and it is running without admin permission.

I would try making sure your firewall is not blocking the app and I would also verify your files with the Steam app. Make sure you have updated the FGU app.

Hopefully, someone who runs the app on Steam will be able to help you more, but if not then you may want to go to the Fantasy Grounds official discord server, because they are always helpful there. I will post the link below, but if it does not work for some reason then search it up online.

Not sure if they are open over the XMAS period but you are best off to email Fantasy Ground Support (details are on the website), or try the discord site. Never heard of the problem you are mentioning with FGU, but needing Admin password to install games is a common issue with Windows if your user ID isn't set up 100%.
