You do not need to port forward to host, right?
Sorry if I'll sound silly and annoying, but I just wanted to make sure if you really don't need to port forward in order to host games. You can just hit Host or something, and just invite your friends for free, no third party server subscription and stuff like that, correct?

And buying the Ultimate Bundle allows you to host for anyone (even if they don't have the game), and there's no additional subscription to pay, right? It's a single purchase and boom, you're free to use it forever.

I was thinking about buying the Ultimate Bundle, but considering how it's extremely expensive on my country, I wanted to make sure there are no caveats and small details I'm missing.

1. You don't have to pay anything to use FGU, the Demo is free.
2. If you want to host a game as a DM for your players, you need either the Standard or the Ultimate Licence,
3. If standard your players must also buy standard to play with you, but this lets them be DMs too if you want to share the DM'ing role module to module.
4. If you buy Ultimate your players play for free, but can't DM for your friend group unless they also buy Ultimate or all the friends get standard
5. By default you host from the smiteworks cloud service so there is no port forwarding or other drama that used to exist with Classic, you just host and players connect
6. If you want to you can still host locally or LAN
7. Buying FGU doesn't give you the books to play D&D, you get the SRD free stuff, but to you still need to buy manuals and modules and stuff
8. While you can share your stuff to your players as a DM, you can't as a player share stuff to a DM so if your friends want to DM, they also need their own books.

Think that covers all the key points.

1b) If playing in person and using FGU as a display and battle map you don't need Ultimate, just standard.
7b) If you have more time than money you can add the majority of the book info you want.

Thank you very much for the in-depth answer!
