Is this game frustratingly difficult?

Looking for something that is not crazy difficult.

i hope they make it "easier" , that we don't have to shoot so accurately at the exact spot in the half second time as of now, that they reduce the damages we recieve and increase the damage we deal, all that compared to how it is now in "easy" mode, still obvisouly not easy enough for many of us.
For the others who disagree, let them enjoy the normal or difficult modes.

I would like to be able to see the rest of the story !

Yeah I do get the timing window is VERY small for the Alpha, which is a frequent complaint about the boss fight.

same here, the lowest difficulty has been made way too difficult, i am refunding it since im not able to enjoy the game because of it sadly

I agree too, easy mode was difficult I stopped playing as it became ridiculous

Is it ONLY because of the Alpha? Or are there other spots you don't like?

Meanwhile I'm almost done with my first playthrough on "Specialist" and I only had problems with the first Construct fight, till I found out how to proceed. I really can understand that people have problems with some boss fights because of some enormous difficulty spikes in some situations and the pillar save system can frustrate additionally. It's a pity when I see according to the achievements, that more then 60% got stuck on the Alpha and not even 30% of all buyers finished the game. As a developer this should be a indicator to adapt some things. Especially the second half of the game is really awesome and worth playing after you unlocked most of the upgrades and gear and knowing how to handle and combine all the weapons and tools.

I had problems with the Construct as well, though that was only because the 1st time I fought it I didn't realize it'd try to avoid the ice so much.

Like many ither buyers of the game ; if you check Steam successes, only about 30% finished the game. This mean 2/3 who purchased it gave up before..
The dev should understand it needs rebalancing.

It's a shame because had they chose to stick it out, the game gets easier.
