How many people you need to start a match

I wanna play with some friends but I need to know is 3 survivors enough or do we need 4 because at best we can do 3 survivors and 1 killer

If you're gonna play a private game, the game will start when everyone is ready up, in a public game you need the fiend and 5 classmates to start the game

So you are certain because I thought there was a minimum. At least before something like that happened I think. Okay I guess we will give it a try soon enough thanks
