New suit and new guard revealed
I don't know if it's by accident, but they published the DLC pages for the arsenal pack and the cosmetic pack for shattered peak.

New suit: Overseer
- Jump and Glide : Coupled with the Overseer suit, the Slipstreamer Biolink allows you to slowly glide after jumping, avoiding danger while still being able to attack or defend.
- Visible Harvester Path: Augmenting the Overseer’s hallucinations, the Pathfinder Biolink reveals the Harvester Path, ensuring Raiders will never be lost in an Outpost again.
- Scout the Environment: The Scavenger Biolink helps Raiders spot the location of Forsaken Tombs and other resources by highlighting them throughout the environment.

New guard: Assassin
- Stealth Master: The Assassin remains nearly imperceptible until they unleash their devastating attack. Raiders will have to pay close attention to the visual distortion and sounds generated by the Guard’s movement.
- No Fall Damage: Builders can get creative as this this Guard is not affected by fall damage, meaning they can drop from any height to kill unsuspecting Raiders.
- A Punishing Dash Attack: When attacking, the Assassin performs a medium-range horizontal slash attack that's difficult to avoid.

oh man the visible harvester path perk solves my major issue of getting lost super easy thats sick. its does mess with any map that uses multiple paths tho and most perk sets really just need 2 to function well so its kind of an auto include. and it does give away floor traps as well. killing harvey is now kind of obsolete too not that i didnt not kill him on sight anyway

Yep... Just killed like 8 of my maps... >_>;;
Floor piston also becomes obsolete...
Looks like the game is permanently going to be dead for me, after this update... T_T
This basically calls for me to dismantle those maps...And that's not gonna happen.
Basically spent over a 1000 hrs on them.

Okay so with the addition of the HRV path visualization perk, why can't they simply remove the HRV altogether? Just visualize the path for all players so that we can't make "hidden mario maker passages" and let us be creative for once.

Dev made a choice with suits to let players having a better gameplay while raiding. But I personnaly think hook and weapons are enough to have fun, and the fun has a raider is providing by traps and guards mostly. Just need some mobility and different weapons to change the gameplay.

But Im pretty sure, this suit is the 1rst one of some suits that will destroy some way to play the game. This one help you against fake wall and maze. Next suit could prevent you from been killed by explosion, next one could prevent you to be killed by a single projectile once a raid,... So they literraly created some stuff to help raider, but that killed way to play the games and traps/guards. Thats pretty stupid imo !!!!

We dont really know how it works. Maybe it didnt really killed mazes, but I dont know how you could see HRV way and not destroying mazes... Except if you have just few times to highlight HRV way for ex !!! But we have no button to activate our suit so I dont think so.

Yeah, a such suit is a total surprise for me, cause it litteraly counters another mechanism in the game !!!

Huh... wonder if this is an attempt to let players play the game their way...
It's a bit messy, if so.

Because I will confess, Mazes annoy me. I wanna go fast most times, and on the times I wanna go slow, I prefer puzzleboxes. Mazes aren't usually very exciting, feels like they're disrespecting my time, but that's a personal opinion.
So this suit option will trivialize Mazes if I have space free on my suit, which I guess means I won't just have to leave the map when I see the Harvester explode 1 second in.
But the person who made the Maze gets a little screwed.

They seriously just need tags and filters already.

On a side note: That new guard sounds deliciously terrifying and as a Raider main I am looking forward to seeing how it's used and abused.

I'm thinking that he is loud. Attacks really slow and can be dodged by jumping or moving away from it. I wonder if it can climb or jump up to pursue you.

new suit *could* be OP - we do need a way to deal with maze style outposts, but I'm not sure highlighting Harvey's path is the right approach. And I like the tombs being just extra little secrets, up to the outpost builder to decide what to do with. highlighting them for raiders kind of takes away the fun of hunting for them imo.

I need a third perk because I use sword and shield so that "Find the Tomb" perk will be something at least. Some of you troll too hard with those tombs. Either try to kill me with it or leave it out for me somewhere, burying it away as a nothing but a sound effect is just cruel and wasteful! You monsters!

I'm going to tell you this, all, as a "relative pro" if I absolutely need a harv to navigate your creation then your creation is probably an incoherent mess or big and empty and in both cases I can quit before it actually kills me because it becomes obvious pretty quickly. I'm trying to actually play the game, not be zipping around looking under rocks for the game to happen. You can send me down false routes and kill-halls but if your creation isn't fun and engaging I can just skip it. I'd rather attempt an impossible kill-room fifty times than spend 30 minutes navigating a nonsense waste of my time maze because the kill room is actually a challenge, the maze is just testing my patience and how often I can mash the ZIP button.

As a "relative pro" if you're relying on harv to navigate then you're moving too slow and too cautiously and that's probably getting you killed way more than you realize. He's not your friend, people build knowing you have to follow him so they use him as fore-knowledge of where you'll be and how you'll be acting. More importantly he gets under your feet and trips you up and pushes you around. He's just another hazard. I can follow the trail of "murder me" and figure out where I need to be, thank you! I'm going to clear every hallway anyway because I want them tombs and I want to break all your toys.

You'll have to play my socials before the update to understand why the upgrade makes speed runners with shields basically unbeatable. But I'll try to explain anyway.

All kill boxes have 2 possible problems...
1. Raiders hanging out at the entrance, killing stuff, going in and out for ammo retrieval. (Plasma cube orbs being nerfed to mini-size puddles makes this way more likely, since they can't help cannonbacks anymore.)

2. Raiders seeing the exact way out of the room, basically, zip line hop through the room. (Kill box!? You mean all the stuff I didn't bother destroying in the last room? HAH!)

I found a base layout in which you can't sit at a entrance and you can't see the exact way out. It was great!
But this suit was made to destroy that specific layout...
Glide makes it easy to reach places you couldn't reach before with my layout.
See harvey path means, no matter my layout, you see the exact way out of the room.

This update WILL stomp the game out for me.
I can't stand that, as a builder... I can't win.
And as a raider... Everything is easy.
Best builder tools are piston and cannonback...
And they both lose if the raider brought something to deal with them.
