Easy Anti Cheat Issue: 30005 StartService EasyAntiCheat EOSSys failed with 1275

Hello fellow Custodians,

since the latest Windows Updates (Windows 11) something broke Easy Anti Cheat. I cannot run the game anymore. As soon as I launch the game Easy Anti Cheat popsup with the following error:

30005 StartService EasyAntiCheat EOSSys failed with 1275

There seems to be an incompatibility between EAC and Windows Security Feature "KERNAL-MODE HARDWARE-ENFORCED STACK PROTECTION".
Disabling the feature seems to fix it, but its nothing to recommend and I do not plan to do so myself.
Other EAC games like Fortnite work without issue so there is hope, that an update will fix the EAC version of MYM eventually.

Really not a fan of these Kernel-Level Anti Cheat Software...

Anyone found an alternative fix for this issue for the time being?

The cause is an incompatible implementation of Easy Anti Cheat with a "new" Windows Security Feature:
KERNAL-MODE HARDWARE-ENFORCED STACK PROTECTION

A Workaround (WHICH I DO NOT RECOMMEND) may be to deactivate the feature:

Open the Start menu and enter “Core isolation” in the search bar to open the related Windows Defender settings. In the “Windows Security” window switch the option called “Kernel-mode Hardware-enforced Stack Protection” to “Off”, then reboot your system

They have to patch the EAC Version

Uninstalling the Windows Update is also a possible workaround, but I also do not recommend uninstall security updates, especially for internet connected devices.

Well, resetting my OS to latest Version worked for me. Its smth about that Kernel Thing, Epic has to Patch eac to make it work again properly

Me as well but with a twist...... Have problems with Elden Ring do not have problems with the Division2. Both use easyanticheat.

And not have auto updates set as immediate.
Maybe one day you guys will learn it too...

Uninstalled latest w11 update and everything working fine now.

Windows Update Settings > Update History > Uninstall Updates > Uninstall latest update and restart PC
