Crashing is killing this for me

I don't quite understand why this is such an issue. I can run the game fine, but I (along with many others, apparently) will randomly freeze and be forced to close/restart the game. There is no rhyme or reason to what causes this. I can be sitting in my hub doing nothing. Freeze. Scrolling through replays. Freeze. Building my outpost. Freeze. Raid another outpost. Freeze.

But then, sometimes I will have a good hour of playing without freezing. I've tried everything I can find on the internet to fix this but nothing works. I've updated drives. I've capped my FPS. I've disabled all non-windows services. The freezing issue persists.

This is honestly killing the game for me. I love the whole concept it offers, and the gameplay loop is perfect for me, but knowing that at any moment I could freeze and lose all my progress on my outpost, or a raid, or ANYTHING is just unacceptable in *current year*. It's really disheartening to have not heard anything from the devs about this either as it seems to be quite a wide spread issue.

Having the same problem and it is a vibe killer. First day playing not a single crash or freeze, now suddenly it is a gamble if I can go more than a match or 2. Like you said it comes randomly. Raid a base, crash and lose rank points. Build a base, crash and lose 30 mins of work. The freezes lock the game to screen for me to so I have to windows key and sign out and back in, can't force close or task manager because the game is focused.

Yep. Nothing kills motivation like being on a way out of a hard raid, when you crash. Hoping the supposed upcoming update fixes it.

same issue with freezing, mine only occurs in the command post and sometimes the loading screen when travelling back from my builds. Haven't had it freeze whilst raiding an outpost. Lets hope for a fix soon as this is annoying. My thoughts were maybe a memory leak?

Wait until you have a loaded base and try setting guard patrols sometimes hehe

game freeze in the hub after playing for 2 minutes. i really like this game but this is pretty bad, hope they can fix this issue because a lot of players already stop playing because of this bug.

Only crashing about once every 5 hours for me (and never during a raid).
Though PCs vary a lot, I imagine it crashing more frequently must be a pain.
Hope they sort it out for those of y'all having frequent crashes!

Same here but for information, it happened a lot aswell during beta.

It was 2 months ago and we still crash. I personally stop playing this game anymore right now cause between crashes and replays that count 0 death (while people died on your outpost), its unplayable for me (no materials, not enough prestige in outpost and impossible for me to get synthite cause of crashes during raid).

I let a bad review in steam (was a good one at release) and I just wait them to wake up and do something (and not saying "we fixed crashes" on patchnote when everyone got more crashes !!!).

I was having constant crashes at first, then I tried something.

I went to Settings > General > CROSSPLAY > Same Platform Content Only. Tick that from Off to On.

I have only had two crashes since doing that a week or so ago

Good to know I am not the only one crashing. Literally twice in hub doing nothing special and while building. They've been bad freezes that I'd have to close the game rather than actual crashes that close my game for me.

I originally had this issue. Like crashing every two raids, generally just after some death, while loading.
Then for no reason, two weeks ago, after I restarted my computer for once (I nearly never do it) I had waaaaay less crashes. Now it happen only once or twice per day (and I play 3-5h per day)
Could be some drivers issue, but I remember seeing one change in the game around the same time : I suddently started to get way less raiders on my outposts for no reason. So maybe we did had a ghost update around that time...
Now, they seems to have fixed the "not getting raiders" issue -at least for me- as I'm back getting tons of raiders again, after 2 weeks of miser getting only 2 raiders per day... hopefully the crashes won't come back too! As of now, everything's fine for me \o/

If your getting the Lowlevelfatalerror crash, try putting settings to all low and window fullscreen, that should help.
