Hopefully the playerbase returns, they do a free weekend or the new updates add some more depth to the game.
The game has over 70,000 sales. It is sitting at below 0.5% of its playerbase.
I mean if ppl keep raiding you and you keep having new bases then who cares.
Babies obsessed with player counts these days, its a pretty niche game tbh
In the short term like Hazard said it doesn't rely on concurrent players for it to function luckily. That being said it's like being alive and being on life support as comparable or equal, which obviously it ain't.
But like Icarus said hopefully the player base will return with some free weekend and major content updates.
Sure, except people aren't raiding me. I stopped putting bases up after several days in a row of only one or two people. On the other side of things, lower playercount means lower numbers of bases. If theres only 100 people playing then theres probably only 200 or 300 bases getting maintained if that many, won't take long for everyone to cycle through all the bases and they likely won't be prestiging so they'll be stuck smaller.
All of these were problems that were blatant and pointed out in the beta, yet nobody listened, not even the devs. Then again this is BHVR we're talking about so can't say I'm surprised.
Glad I saved my money on this one
That was happening to people with like 5k players too tho. been an issue since release.
Its simple, less players = less bases to choose from so it shouldnt effect the base matchmaking
I mean I got 50 hours out of it. they will do sales and game might get better. or it might die like 99% of other live service games do. just have your fun and stop playin when bored. If devs made a game that gets boring after a while (which obviously this will and has for alot of ppl) then it will die regardless.
Fact is all this "dead game" rhetoric is just boring. if you play game and never look at player count then you wouldnt even notice, this aint a game that needs full servers to enjoy so who cares.
Sounds logical.
I really think it just needs a free weekend here and there, and some more stuff for raiders, as a builder I'm fairly happy with the tool kit we have, but I understand why a lot of people have burn't out. So long as this gets at least a few years support I think it will be just fine.
Hopefully the new update will lead to an uptick in players.
