I hope this game encourages player progression through gameplay rather than micros, getting better creatures and traps over time as you get the resources from playing. The idea of there being 2 player co-op may make it more fun compared to the other games, though I wonder how balance will work with the "dungeons".
I have a feeling BE will only charge for cosmetics. Pay to win would kill MYM on arrival.
Having two player co-op raiding is an interesting design choice and I hope they tailor specific experiences for builders to challenge solo and duo raiders alike; adding difficulty build options or co-op specific traps would be a great start.
Yeah it's safe to say it'll only be cosmetics, they'd be foolish to put P2W mechanics in a game like this.
As for the co-op mode. In the building part of the presentation they had 2.5k capacity for a outpost, but there'll be other plots of land to purchase that'll probably have a higher capacity, which means more challenging and harder for solo and co-op players.
The outpost the devs played in co-op mode did actually manage to down them a couple of times even though it was a bit of a small outpost. So even smaller outposts can be deadly against duos if setup well.
