Report a translation problem
with how proton currently is I doubt game devs will put serious effort into native linux support when games run great through the translation layer, sometimes ever better than running native on windows
I did. It was running smooth and flawlessly, 8+ hours ingame without hiccups. No texture bugs, no random crashes (unlike some streamers I watched).
The only time the beta crashed on me, happened while loading into 2-3 certain maps, reproducably. So I just skipped those.
Considering the game is running EA's Easy Anti Cheat, I was surprised actually; but then again I don't know if EAC was armed during beta or just monitoring.
I think technically EAC is also the only show-stopper for them to release a native Linux client, since Unreal Engine should support Linux builds, but EAC doesn't.
Obviously this is no guarantee that the game will still run flawlessly on release, later patches might break things, EAC might start to kick you...
Unless the dev's put out a statement that Proton is a supported platform, I'd say some caution is advisable.
Tested on debian Linux 10/11, no DE, awesome WM
Proton 7.0 with Soldier runtime
Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 @ 470.161.03 driver rev
It works like a charm.
Linux Mint Mate 20.3
I have issues with playing videos (on intro when you start new game).
With default proton it's white screen. And with experimental proton -- it plays, but shows bold green line on bottom of video.
And also on Proton sometimes blocks flicker and disappear for fraction of second. Blocks that are not Holcube.
Bit annoying, but not unplayable definitely.

IDK about blocks flicker, I didn't check. But Video plays without such issues on Windows 10.
But Easy Anticheat starts way faster on Linux, lol.
