ERROR: can't start the game SOLVED

Hello! I bought this game because I played it a lot in childhood.

But I have an error when I want to start the game.

The error says: "Could not create hardware accelerated Direct3D device. Game will exit."

Can you help me and maybe some others? Thank you! :)

EDIT:

So I found a solution. All what it needed was to get d3d8.dll file to folder with game.

You just go to C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and copy D3D8.dll to folder with game. Then, enjoy!
(If you can not find the file, use search in folder)

I copy d3d8.dll into Steam/steamapps/common/Knights of the Temple - Infernal Crusade
and nothing happens. :(

Many thanks for your help . I can finally play Knights of the Temple on Windows 10 without any problems .
There is one small problem: dgVoodoo2 is classified as a virus by my antivirus program. I keep getting this message. Do you know a solution?

Only both suggestions could solve the problem.

Copy d3d8.dll from "C:\Windows\SysWOW64" to the game folder and
turn on compatibility with Win XP SP2 of "Templar.exe".

I confirm that the game works great under windows 10 pro, but only if both the above actions are done. Thanks a lot for the tips!
