Glad you like the game, and thanks for the feedback and suggestions! We will definitely optimize the game engine as we work through early access as it certainly does need some work. There is a benchmark video on YouTube with a mid-rage gaming PC and the average frame rate obtainable is 25-45 depending on in game settings. There will definitely be improve optimization as we release updates.
In regards to the combat suggestion, do you mean a way to lock onto a foe? If so, that is already implemented (see the controls on the main menu), you can lock on to the nearest foe and cycle between targets and the player will always face the locked onto foe.
I agree with the special moves, characters will certainly be more unique as updates are rolled.
We may also add new characters too, as the prequel had a much longer character roster, so it's definitely something we'll think about.
